Condolences for Linwood Wright

LaCretia Marshall posted on 4/30/19

I would like to send my condolences to the family. Linwood was one of my Grandmother’s favorites and she was more than happy to ensure he got his share of sweet potatoes and rolls. He always looked out for her when we could not. He kept in touch and we love you for that Cousin! Love you and may your memory and smile forever bless those that had the pleasure of knowing you!

I will forever cherish the memories of Your infectious laugh, your large grin, your huge heart and your amazing love for us all in your own way. I was born into your parent's household where you assisted in my care while my parents worked and attended college. Oh! And let's not forget that wild since of humor where you once encouraged me to eat a hamburger from a magazine page. I Love you "Liar Wright" My condolences to my family. Let's get together real soon guys! I love you all.

Every time I think of Linwood all I hear is him laughing. He loved my moms candid yams and would make his way to Suffolk if he knew she had some, which was most of the time. When he was a police officer in Washington he let me ride in his police car. This was a memory as a kid I never forgot. His sense of humor defined him. Love you Linwood and you will be missed.

My prayers are with the family. I will truly miss his. I will never forget the first time I started to care for him. The first thing he said was I am hungry take me to eat. Everyday I cared for him he wanted to eat and go riding. So in the time I cared for him we have covered some miles. I will truly miss you. Erica

Linwood aka Tootie as a boy was more like a brother than a first cousin to me. We were around each other often during childhood and even more as adults. I believe that Linwood was everyone’s favorite cousin. I know that he was mine. He was a character, making everyone laugh all the time. I going to miss you CUZ!! R.I.P. MUCH LOVE to YOU!!

I extend my heartfelt condolences to Linwood's family. Linwood was a great friend since high school, a traveling pal, and someone I could count on when I needed a laugh. Linwood is no longer suffering and is now with God. I will miss him.

Darlene, this is from your cousin Sandra. There is not enough space for the memories of Linwood and his Chevy.I would sit in the back of church and sneak out. He,Alvin and I were the 3amigos.I spent a lot of time at your house. I will always have a special place in my heart for him. I pray for all of my cousins every night. May the Lord bless you and keep you. You were a good sister. Love you.

Darlean, I am so very sorry for your loss of Linwood. You have been the greatest sister he could have ever had. I can only imagine the pain of loss you are feeling. I want to encourage you during this difficult time. God will comfort you, guide you, strengthen you and continue to provide your every need. I remember Kathy and I visiting your Hampton home back in the day and Linwood was Mr. Cool. He will be remembered always.
