Laura and Doug, Wow, it has been 35 or more years since Anne was Meredith's Girl Scout leader and Doug played on my community Soccer team with my son Wayne Anne was always the consumate supportive Mom well known for her wit and intelligence. We even went to the World's Fair in Knoxville with the scout troop. Sympathy to you and family as you appreciate the gift of having such a super mom. Larry Shackelford

Laura, you and your family have my condolences. Anne was a wonderful person and I'm so glad I got to know her. Everytime I drive somewhere. I think of her and how she cared for me! Hope does indeed spring eternal. Love and hugs from me and my boys. Sampson and Hercules, Priscilla Schultz

Annlee, as I always knew her, was my "longest known friend" - as we called each other. We knew each other since we were five years old - and thus I also knew Joanie & Mary since they were born! No matter where she moved we always kept in touch. We toured Europe together after our Junior year in college - and I read her parts of my "trip diary" when I visited her in the hospital about a month ago. We had lots of laughs and shared wonderful memories together. I feel privileged to have met Laura when I visited Annlee - a living legacy for her. My prayers and good wishes go out to all the family. May she rest in peace. She earned it!

Anne's *need* to learn, to engage with other people will always be in my memory. Strong beliefs, but eager to discuss them if you're open to an honest discussion. I wish you all the things you need to fill the void she left behind. And remember that you've all done a great job for her ... the best family one could wish for.

I remember the wonderful Club Brittany days with Anne, Laura and Doug. There is such love in this family which I saw in the support and strength after Laura’s accident and chronicled during Anne’s last weeks. What a wonderful lady. She will be missed. All my love and prayers that our God holds you in His hands.
