Aunt Dorothy was the sweetest! She had such a giving nature, patient and always kind. I was so fortunate to have grown up next door to her and her family. I will never forget summer days when my Mama and Aunt Dorothy would pack sandwiches and us cousins would pile into the back of her red truck and head for a day at Lake Geneva. So many fun times!

Mrs.Simmons was my bus driver when I was in first grade. Her son Sonny was in my class Ms Waterfield, she had to bring him into the classroom every morning. And he would scream and scream when she left him.I never forgot that nor having her as my bus driver. Now I am a bus driver for Portsmouth and have been for 45 years.I guess it rubbed off.I know she will be missed

Ms. Dorothy was the kindest, sweetest person I have come across. I was one of the many aides at Beth sholom that had the privilege of assisting her. She always had a smile that lit up the room. Ms. Simmons will be greatly missed. Many prayers and condolences to ms. simmons family.

To the family of Ms. Dorothy. My husband and I bought their home at 329 Etheridge Blvd. way back in the 1970's. We paid $27,000. We kept the place until the late 1990's. Pete and Angie Parker. Pete is deceased. I am remarried and live in TN. I want to say that there was no better lady to meet that Dorothy. I am so so sorry for your loss, and I wish you peace and comfort through your journey of her memory. Angie Mangiaracina
