Condolences for Norman Dale Huff

Rob and Paula Bellay posted on 12/30/19

Our heartfelt condolences to you all. Norm was not only my cousin (Paula Sapp Bellay) but also my friend. He was a strong influence in my life and my husband Rob’s life. He coached Rob in the church basketball and softball league. When we were dating they had an adopt a grandparent program at our church and Rob and I chose Norm to be our adopted grandpa. It was a way to love on him and show him how much he meant to us. He was a funny guy and loved to joke and tease. When we got engaged to be married Norm would tell me that I was too young to get married and that I was “still wet behind the ears”. Then one day he shows up and hands me a wrapped gift and inside was a small pair of umbrella earrings he had found at the flea market! He thought that was hilarious and so did Rob! A few short months later Norm was an usher at our wedding and he was the one who walked my mother (his cousin Janice Lichty Sapp) down the isle to light the mother of the bride candle. I still have those earrings in my drawer and laugh every time I come across them. We will miss Norm and cherish the memories of him. We know that Norm was a man of God and that he is now safely with his Lord and we will one day see him again! Love and prayers to you all. He certainly loved you all and spoke often of you. He was proud of his family.
