We just learned last night of Christopher's departure from this world, and we are crushed. He was an expert designer and one of the sweetest, most interesting individuals ever to cross our path. LOVED talking with him about every topic under the sun. We were so excited for him as he made his retirement plans, and it especially saddens us that he did not get to enjoy the leisure time he so deserved. We actually thought the reason we hadn't heard from him since December was because he was taking his first month of retirement to do nothing, as was his stated plan. Christopher was impeccable in every way and we have lost a dear friend. Our condolences to Christopher's family - he was very proud of you all.

I had the pleasure to work with Chris for several years. Once we both found out we were both from up north it was on! Having been into music and the arts for so very long, when I first started at Lowe's, Chris stuck out as someone I wanted to get to know. We shared our love of Music, fasion, pop culture, and religion. As a young man and former starving artist, I was totally blown away by his life story. Each and every conversation left me not just knowing Chris more, but made me look forward to our next conversation and what other amazing life detail he would share then. From my side, being in his presence was home. We shared in witty banter and enjoyed those days we worked together. He would always make a point to hang at the Windows and Doors desk b4 he would leave for the night. Or he would make a point to stop and see me in plumbing. Chris, it was my absolute pleasure to be just a lil part of your amazing life story! All of us Lowes and former Lowes family, will me you and we'll always appreciate our time with you! Rest in Pease my friend...

Chris was my Friday night buddy when I lived in 200. We used to listen to old school music and jazz. He tailored clothes for me. Once I won free tickets from WBLS and took Chris with me. to the Copocabana. One day I went knocking on Mrs. Whitehead door looking for Chris and Mrs. Whitehead said he moved away. I thank God for putting him in my path.

My Uncle will be sincerely missed. He was full of love and light and brought joy to everyone that interacted with him. I loved when he worked as a clothes designer because he always gave me samples or made my clothes for me and I was always the best dressed kid. He made my wedding dress and my bridesmaids gowns and hand sewed pearls and flowers on my dress so it was full of his love. I love you and miss you Uncle Chris but I rest assured because I know you have joined your Mom and you Sister Yvonne in Heaven. Enjoy your eternal peace. With Love Your Niece Candis

Christopher was truly one of a kind. Always a gentleman. Always kind. Always with time to help no matter how busy himself. He had a sharp wit, a sense of humor so dry you didn't know if he was joking until he offered you that sly smile and wink, and, at time, a biting sarcasm that left you short of any retort before he had already turned and gone lol. He had no end of stories which, I hope, is proof of a full, well led life. I know he had no end of friends. It was my honor to consider myself one of them. Rest I peace.
