Sharon and I moved next door to Coy on Saint Louis St in KDH at the beginning of 2018, and remain friends--and fellow KHUMC members--even now as he has moved to Brookdale in Elizabeth City. We never got to meet Hunter, but I know he was a great guy from so many of the tributes. As a former Army officer, I especially recognize and appreciate his service to America. We pray God's peace and comfort will come, if gradually, upon every member of this fine young man's family.

Rest In Peace to this wonderful young man. May the Lord look down upon his family and give them peace through this difficult time.

We are saddened by the news of Hunter's passing. Brenda and Coy have been friends for a long time and we can only imagine how this must be such a shock. We pray for God's strength and courage as the family works their way through the sadness and tears. God's word, Psalm 30:5, tells us "Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning." Peace.

My heart aches for all of you in this sudden loss of Hunter. We have known his Harbeson grandparents for 30 years and we are praying for all of Hunter's family at this very difficult time of grief. Many prayers flow from KHUMC for each of you and I pray God's grace and comfort surround his wife and all of his family and friends at this sad time.

Dear Jeff and Jacquelin, Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the both of you. We can't even begin to know the pain you must be going thru. I was only blessed to meet Hunter a couple of times but clearly he was an outstanding young man. I remember speaking with him about Hargrave Military Academy as my Grandson went there from 2015-2018. He was very well spoken and you could tell he was a confident young Man. Nancy and I were both taken back as we just learned of your loss and definitely would have been at Hunter's service to support you all had we known. We will keep you both in our prayers! God Bless

So very sorry to hear this news this morning. Remember Hunter as a little kid being at Grandpa Coy's house when we would come down to OBX across the street on St. Louis Ave.

Hey guys. What a shock. Mother once told me the biggest disappointment a mother or Father could have was losing a Child. Praying Jesus's greatest blessings upon you during this time. Love you lots.

Hunter was always lively, smart and never missed a beat. I got to know Hunter as I babysat him when he was around the age of 6. He definitely kept me on my toes, but I loved every second of it. I remember sitting with him on the couch in his living room, watching TV, when George W Bush was running for president (the 1st time) and I was so shocked to see how aware he was of the election and of Bush. And I always laugh when I look back on my first time babysitting him and he locked me outside his house, after I had to clean him off from getting all muddy outside. Haha.... he ran to the front door and gave me a look and quickly shut the door. We looked at each other through a window for a few minutes, then he opened the door. I was scared to death then, thinking Jacqui and Jeff will never let me babysit again, but I babysat many times and got to watch Jackson as an infant, grow into a toddler and babysat them both before I went off to college. My heart breaks for his young and beautiful wife, his mother, father, brother grandparents, family members and friends. He grew to be such a handsome young man and I just don't understand why he was taken away at such a young age. An age where adult life is just beginning and you're coming into your own, but I lean not to my own understanding, I lean on God's. God knows what He is doing and He needed to call Hunter on home. God bless you Nicole, Jacqui, Jeff, Jackson and family. Only time and God will help you carry on. You all have my love and deepest sympathy.
