I will never forget the commanding, yet extremely warm and friendly, tone of Mike’s voice on the soccer and lacrosse sidelines, cheering on his sons and their friends through thousands of games. Mike was a mentor to me as young LT when I first arrived at SBT20 and he was a PC CO. My detachment worked extensively with his ship locally and down in Puerto Rico.
