Prayers of strength and comfort during this difficult time. I saw Johnny last year at the Warwick Lawns reunion, he looked great and it was great to see him. He told me how I’ve changed since I was a little girl, of course prior to last year I had not seen him since childhood. To the family weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

I want to give my condolences to my grandma Shirley. I will miss my uncle Johnny, he was the quiet uncle. But when he would say something he would make you laugh for days. He would always have a new joke to say about my dad being a vegetarian. I will cherish the memories of you making me laugh. I know you are in heaven watching over us.

To The Family, As I read all of your comments tears fill my eyes, for together you all have summed up what were mysteries to most because he was always the quiet one. Nevertheless, I will forever remember that blushing, sheepish grin he displayed when I called him Otis. Sleep in peace my dear friend. Family, be encouraged. I love you all.

Despite the loss of the physical presence of Uncle Johnny, it is often during moments of silence that his legacy lives on to me. I always admired his overwhelming since of peace and calmness about him. Rarely ever even changing the tone of his voice no matter what the topic. Very rarely in life do you cross paths with people that you just know there is something special about them. Uncle Johnny was that guy. I will forever hold to my heart his funny smirk and smile when something funny was said. He always showed me the utmost respect and love and I can say I reciprocated it back in return. I love you Uncle Johnny and you are truly missed but we all know you are in a better place now watching over us from up above. Until we meet again

Johnny led his life with unabandoned passion and zeal. He was a remarkable combination of innocence and insight. Few understood Johnny and he was fine with that. He lived for Johnny and had no reservations in doing so. It is a trait I most admired in him. When I think of my brother I remember those moments watching him during family occasions. I would wonder what he was thinking amidst the laughster of a particular moment. I always felt he just wanted to get a bite to eat. But he endured the often retooled tales of Michael and Bum, who both can spin a tale that would have everyone in stitches. He will now always be with us. Johnny your journey was far more impactful and purposeful than you imagine. We will miss you, each in our our own special way. Love you for being you. Rest assured you left your mark!!
