Another one gone too soon. I enjoyed our talks over the years and running into each other at one even or another. We had many laughs together while working at Commerce and BB&T. God, bless Debbie and the family with your love and strength during this time.

My condolences to Gary's wife Debbie and his family. I worked with Gary at BB&T, now Truist. Gary always had a smile on his face no matter the situation. Gary will be greatly missed by the BB&T, now Truist team.

Gary was such a great guy! I so enjoyed working with him and listening to his stories, taking in his jokes, and absorbing the little life lessons with which he would gift me every now and again. He loved talking about his children, his vacations and various adventures. At the same time, loved listening to mine. He taught me a lot as a young banker and I always respected his wisdom and experience. I will miss him very much. My condolences to the family. I know this is a difficult time. God bless.

I met Gary around 1980 as a banker but we soon became friends. He was my lender for many many years and my advisor on the business side of my life. He was always fun to be with and always was the life of the party. I will miss him and know I have lost a true friend that can never be replaced. My condolences go out to his family who he loved more than can ever be measured.
