I had the pleasure of working with Kathy at NAB LCreek and Naval Station Norfolk for many years. Kathy was definitely one of a kind. She crossed the paths of many who adored and loved her. Her smile, laughter, the willingness to always help others, quick wit and even her funny sarcasm are just a few of her qualities. She was the type of person that you couldn't help but love. Her life was taken way too soon, and Heavan definitely received a dear angel. May it give us all comfort and peace to know that she is no longer suffering. She fought her fight hard and I know she gave it her all. I will forever treasure our friendship. You will be sorely missed Kathy. Rest easy my friend and fly high. Sending love, hugs and prayers to her family. Sherry Johnson

Kathy, like her parents Chuck and Shirley, put her faith into action by caring for others and bringing joy wherever she went. You will be missed, Kathy, but you left many good memories for all who loved you.

Kathy you are going to be missed so much. Our quarterly lunches will be so very different without you there. And our special Christmas Gathering will be so lonely without you but I know you will be there in Spirit. May God’s blessings and comforting hands be with your loved ones left behind. Especially Fred and your Dad. You were their Rock. Enjoy your celebration with your Mom. Your are our Angel in Heaven.

To the family of Kathy, I’m sorry about your loss, but know you have a guardian angel with you all the time.I’m going to miss my Uber driver that drove us to our bowling tournament’s and provided me and Miss Ernie with lots of fond memories. On our last road trip I needed to pay my Uber driver, so Kathy and I took turns playing the slots while waiting for Miss Ernie. I told Kathy that this was my last $50 and we got down to $35 when Miss Ernie arrived so we did one more spin and split $304, no matter where we were at we always had a good time.
