I was saddened to hear of Rogers passing, in working with him at CDSADN he was always willing to help others and had the patients of a saint especially those of us not as knowledgeable as he in computer software! Roger was always a pleasure to work with, he will be greatly missed and as said previously he left this world to soon. Helen you now have an angel to watch over you and I know you will cherish all the great memories you both had together.

Roger was the sweetest soul right to the bone. He was that way as a very young child when we lived across the street from one another in Huntsville. He was my very favorite friend, playmate, cousin, and family member. He was so easy to be with, kind and considerate even as a very young child. We had a LOT of laughs, him having the sense of humor and me very much appreciating it! He is gone much too soon. My deepest condolences Helen.

Roger was my Division Officer onboard the USS San Jacinto (CG-56). He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful young officers I ever met or worked for. He had a great sense of humor and loved to prank. When it was finally time for me to go ashore after a long sea tour, Roger had the Radio Room cobble up a message assigning me to recruiting dury in Duluth, MN! When I got the message I hurried to the Bridge where Roger was on watch in the middle of the night. As I was complaining as a sailor does, I noticed in the dark that I could see his shoulders shaking because he was laughing so hard. I have many more great stories about this kind man. I will miss him.

Roger was so very gentle and soft spoken that it almost came as a shock to the system. We’re so accustomed to the loud clamor of the world we now live in. To sit with Roger was such a calming and peaceful place to be. We will greatly miss the most kindest and precious of souls.
