Condolences for Arlie Newsome

I met Arlie working at State Farm. He came in on the same day every month to pay his bill. We always looked forward to his visits. He would talk about his family and would always ask how I was doing. He would bring in his delicious "nuts and bolts", which was just his name for spicy Chex Mix. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to get to know Arlie. He was a bright light and I will always remember his big smile! Sending comfort to his family during this difficult time.

I was lucky enough to meet Arlie and Pat back in the early 90s when I worked at San Antonio Sams. Arlie was kind and funny and always coming at you with the best humor. He loved his family and I always felt he was part of mine. I was fortunate enough to give him, or anyone on his team, a Bud. Love and RIP

Met this one of a kind man around 1966. He always looked out for the neighborhood kids. He had a special connection with us. Arlie was a hard working family man.. We grew especially close after my parents passed away. Arlie was a life line, a mentor, and best friend. So full of knowledge and wisdom. Most fondly, I will cherish our silly/fun moments and adventures. So many laughs! Arlie's smile could light up the world. He never met a stranger. He was straight forward, honest, and understanding. I thank God for our friendship. My children and grandchildren consider Arlie as family...because he is. Words cannot express. Love you " cereal killa"! X-O!! Condolences to the family, extended family, and friends.
