Wayne was a fun neighbor here on the Eastern Shore. As soon as my.husband or I saw their flag at the end of there driveway we knew they were here. We would call to welcome them and almost always Wayne would answer “Joe’s bar and grill”. He always had a fast line or a joke. I will miss my happy fun friend.

Wayne was a friend and colleague for close to 40 years. He was a mentor to me at times and always a wonderful friend to my late father, and to me. I’m sad that we lost touch more recently, but his acts in the community will live on long after he is gone. He touched thousands of people’s lives, and he helped shape me into the man I am. Truly a loss to our community. May his memory be a blessing.
