My heart goes out to this lovely woman's family. Dr. Lombardo was really special to me and my family. My son Chance had an accident almost three years ago and the Lord blessed this woman with the skills that she has and she has taken care of my son for almost three years. She was so caring and so genuine about him. We would see her every two weeks!!! I am blessed to have been in her path of life because without her I don't believe my son would have came this long way without her. He loved her dearly. We are goin to miss her sooooooo much. Thank you so much Dr. Lombardo, From the Boggs Family

I met Michele professionally a couple of times, when she interviewed with us and when I met her at a meeting in China. A terrible loss. My condolences.

Joe Syble and I are so sorry to hear of Michele's passing. We knew of her cancer and thought she was winning the battle with this dreaded disease, until we head of her death. We have been your neighbor for too short a time, since your arrival from Rhode Island. When Murray came along, you could tell she was so pleased and thrilled to be a Mother as well as your life's partner and a Doctor. You were so proud of her! Only people like Syble and I, who have experienced the same loss you are now feeling, know the pain death brings. We hope you take comfort in the memories you made together, and that people are there for you when you need them. Just pick up the phone and we will be there. Love to you and Murray. Joe and Syble Cox

The news of your loss has saddened me greatly. I only met you once, a couple months ago when I brought my son in to see you. I was so thankful that God led us to the best in the field to help my son. May your beautiful son always know the love and strength of his mother. Rest with the angels....

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Lombardo. We just met her recently when my daughter was referred for gall bladder problems. Dr. Lombardo was very patient and answered all of our questions concerning her upcoming surgery. She performed my daughter's surgery on Dec. 27th and we saw her for the last time on the 28th. We are very grateful for what she did for our daughter for she is no longer in pain from the gall bladder. I was shocked when I called to the office today for a medical release and found out she had passed. May you have peace in knowing she is no longer in pain as well. God bless her family and give them strength during this time of sorrow,

How blessed we have been to know Dr. Lombardo these past few years since she became our son's surgeon at CHKD Nuss Center. She was the most caring, compassionate, and dedicated doctor we have ever known. She really got to know her patients and we will miss our visits, her conversations with our son, her smile, and her enthusiasm for the profession she loved. She was truly an inspiration to all and she fought the battle with such grace. Our prayers are with your family.

I just heard of Michele's passing. I am so shocked and sorry. I used to work with Michele probably 15+ years ago at the National Birth Defects Center and when she left to follow her dream of becoming a doctor, we were all so happy for her but sad at the same time because she was so friendly and fun to work with and we hated to see her leave. To Michele's family, please accept my sympathies and may be rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I dont know you personally, but I just wanted to share an encouraging thought that helped me when I loss a loved one. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 the God of all comfort will strengthen you as you cope at this most difficult time. Soon he promises to end sickness and death forever in the near future mentioned at Revelation 21:3,4. He also promises that there is hope for those who have fallen asleep in death also mentioned in the Bible at John 5:28,29. I hope these verses bring you much comfort when you read them in your own Bible. Please accept my sincere condolences

From the first moment that I met Dr. L. I knew immediately what a down to earth and kind woman she was. It was like we knew each other our entire lives. I am deeply saddened to hear that she lost her battle. She made such a big impact on everyone she came in contact with, her patients, staff, colleagues. I will miss her dearly. The void left from her absence will be quite palpable. RIP sweet Dr. L., until we meet again.

My deepeset condolences to the family. It's never easy when we lose a loved one. Many people today believe that death is natural and part of our daily lives. However the bible tells us that death is an enemy mentioned at 1 Corinthians 15:26 " And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." What a difference from what we have heard, no one is ever ready or glad to have a loved one die, no matter how long they have lived. God's word the bible tell us that he put " eternity in our hearts" Ecclesiastes 3:11. There is good news!!! according to Jesus' words found in John 5:28-29 there is going to be a resurrection. Again I am sorry for your loss, no doubt Dr. Michele L. Lombardo was a wonderful person. May God's words bring you comfort.
